The support set up of a regulator for TVET in Saudi Arabia including measurement and accreditation programmes which strengthen trainer/employer linkages to improve employment outcomes. Lead Consultant to the Government of Saudi Arabia (ETEC).
Reviewing and giving recommendations on qualification framework harmonisation between sending and receiving markets for workers from Bangladesh. Lead consultant to the United National Organisation for Migrants contracted by City & Guilds. The work included comparison of quality assurance structures and their ability to generate trust in qualifications across borders.
Supporting development of Education Technology and commercial strategy for deployment in S Asia (India, Bangladesh) and Middle East. Strategic consultancy for TUV Rheinland, Colne.
Supporting development of a Skills Development strategy for Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority to improve attractiveness of Bangladesh as an investment location and to ensure equitable access to aspirational careers for nationals. Education and training lead consultant and member of programme review team for World Bank, Washington. The work include evaluation of the training programmes against global best practice and development of action plans for improvement.
Supporting development of Bahrain Government on Tertiary Education policy, including restructure of statutory bodies and regulators. Lead Consultant to Government of Bahrain (EDB and Ministry of Education) under contract to Tribal Group. The work includes refinement of institutional evaluation carried out by Government of Bahrain (Education and Training Quality Authority) , reporting and governance.
Design project and investment approaches for UK Government Aid projects in Nigeria and Mexico. Lead consultant on Skills for Prosperity – related studies contracted by IMC, ASI, DAI and Palladium. The programme includes strands of Equity, Relevance and Quality which include measurement of training against best practice, reporting to governance groups and alignment of funding to outcomes.
International commercial strategy for UK education providers wishing to grow revenues in South and South East Asia. This has included the Independent Schools Inspectorate and consideration of their Inspection Framework for international use.
